This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 24

7:53 p.m.: Susan A. Sweeney, 45, of the 900 block of Winchester Drive, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a burglary report. Sweeney, who had been trespassed from the store earlier in the day, returned to steal. She was later located and placed on a 24-hour hold pending State charges of first-degree burglary and stealing.

Incidents

April 20

12:18 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Sixth Street regarding a theft. The victim said he gave the suspect approximately 2,000 ceramic molds to sell for him. The suspect sold the molds in March and has not paid the victim.

April 24

7:56 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Jackson Street regarding trespassing. The homeowner said an unknown male trespassed onto his property and attempted to open the door to his shed and the back door to his home.

1:01 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report at a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The victim stated that while inside the business, someone stole $90 from her purse.

April 25

12:42 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Video showed a suspect taking a food item and leaving without paying. Management wished to press charges.

6:53 p.m.: Officers responded to the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of damage to a vehicle. Officers investigated and found wind had blown several objects into the car.

11:33 p.m.: Officers responded to East 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered a short time later and returned to the owner. A report was made of the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
