This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
5:08 p.m.: Donovan Laray Murphy, 39, of the 600 block of South Stuart Avenue, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle with expired tags at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pettis Street. Murphy had a suspended license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
9:16 p.m.: Adriana Barranco Cenobio, 37, of the 600 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Cenobio did not have a valid driving status and was transported to the police department, fingerprinted and issued a municipal citation.
8:56 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to property damage and a theft report in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue. The victim stated a suspect came into the laundromat and waited for no one else to be in the building then drilled a hole in a quarter game machine and stole approximately $25 in quarters.
7:47 p.m.: An officer spoke with a subject in the police department lobby regarding harassment in the 300 block of Buckner Court. The subject said a man known to her had repeatedly texted and called her and the communications were unwanted and threatening. The subject wanted a report generated for documentation.
12:08 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a reported assault at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Missouri Avenue. They gathered information for a report.
10:42 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Boonville Road in reference to property damage. They collected information and submitted a report.
5:59 p.m.: Teresa A. Estes, 54, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
9:37 p.m.: Terry L. Norris, 69, of Kansas City, Kansas, was arrested for driving while intoxicated - persistent offender. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
